Longevity - In Ground Concrete Swimming Pools
The longevity of a well built concrete pool is second to none with expected lifetimes of fifty years or more. Much like in ground vinyl liner pools, concrete pools will require periodic renovations. A new concrete pool should last fifteen to twenty five years before extensive renovation is required, and after which it should last for another fifteen to twenty five years.
The concrete pool does not have a specific weak link like the vinyl liners susceptibility to damage. This is why public pools and commercial pools are almost always comprised of concrete. They are durable and long lasting and can withstand huge volumes of bathers and foot traffic with very little wear.
