Installation - Fibreglass And Resin Shell Swimming Pools

The installation time for a fibreglass swimming pool is around two weeks for a team of skilled installers with some crews able to install in as little as four days. For this type of installation the vast majority of the project is in the area preparation in anticipation of having the pool shell delivered and dropped in place via crane. The pool is dropped into the prepared hole, levelled, and then filled slowly with water.



As the water level in the pool rises, the area around the outside of the pool is backfilled at the same time. This creates equal forces pushing on the walls of the pool which should allow the shell to be installed level and without any bows or twisting in the walls. Access to the pool area is a major concern for this type of swimming pool installation. The pool shell can not be disassembled and is too large and heavy to be lifted manually or manipulated to much extent.
